Chapman Drive is a lovely forested hike up an old access road to Flagstaff Mountain. Bikes are allowed, but it's nice and wide. We'll have 3 really good views of the Continental Divide and look down on Boulder at Sunrise Amphitheater.
We'll hike up Chapman Drive, hike around on the Flagstaff Summit visiting Sunrise Amphitheater (built by the CCC in 1933-34) and Artist Point before heading down the Tenderfoot Trail until it meets up with Chapman Drive again. We will gain 940' in the first 2.5 miles and the next 0.25 miles will be a steeper gain of +225'. We'll come down a less steep direction, however.
Predicted weather is Sunny with a high of 44°. We may stop by the South Boulder Sweet Cow afterwards. Below is a photo of our route:
