Hiking – Evening Easy Hike Ute Pass and Prairie Mountain

This hike climbs 300 feet at the beginning then has fairly modest elevation change after that.  Few people hike this short trail.  The drive up Ute pass is quite nice.  The views along this ridge are great and there are usually lots of birds  Last year I saw a number of grouse including grouse chicks on this trail.

Let's carpool from the parking lot in front of Which Wich in Silverthorn.  Meet at 4:30 to depart promptly at 4:35pm.

If you prefer to meet at the trailhead we should get there at 5pm.  We will park at the Ute Pass parking lot on the west side of the road (opposite side of the Ute pass trailhead).

Well behaved dogs that are kept on lease are welcome to join this hike.  Please keep your dog out from under the feet of other hikers.  I will have my dog on the hike.
