Hiking – Golden Gate Canyon State Park
This is the fourth in the Women's History series featuring "Women of the Colorado Gold Rush Era". This hike features Augusta Tabor who married Horace, a stone cutter, and moved from Kansas via train, river boat and an oxen drawn wagon to Colorado. Her life changed from living in a 12' x 16' cabin to owning a 2 story, frame house in Leadville in 1877 to living the upper eschelon life and supporting the Tabor Opera House to a scandalous divorce in 1883.
