Hiking – Golden Gate Canyon State Park - Mountain Lion Loop

We'll start at Nott Creek and follow Mountain Lion Loop, with side trips to Windy Point and City Lights Ridge. The side trips add about 2 miles and some elevation gain to the Mt. Lion Loop, making the entire hike about 8.7 miles and about 2400' of elevation gain.

Last year we encountered ticks on this hike.  Long pants, socks outside and duct tape, or gaiters, not a bad idea. Driving distance about 33 miles RT, at $.52/mile (reimbursement for gas between $5 and $5.50/gallon) = $18/people in the car. Leader will email participants before the hike with details.

We'll meet at 6am at the SW corner Golden Gate Canyon RD and HYWY 93 for 6:10am departure. Drivers should have a State park pass, or split the cost of a day pass with those in your car. Outhouse at the TH.
