Hiking – Green Mountain by Bailey

LIT trip for Tyler Adkins Green Mountain Trail near Buffalo Creek is a smooth, rolling singletrack loop with a mix of gradual climbs, short punchy hills, and scenic foothill views. The trail begins with a steady climb through pine forest and continues to gain elevation in a very manageable way—nothing overly steep, but it does build over time, so come prepared with water and a snack.

Poles are optional but can help on some of the longer climbs and descents.
Around the midpoint, the trail opens up with more exposed sections and granite outcroppings, offering great views and a change of pace from the forested sections. The return portion flows well with a mix of descending and rolling terrain, making for a fast and enjoyable finish back to the trailhead.
Our pace will be around 2.0–2.5 mph, depending on the group, and we will adjust as needed to keep things comfortable for everyone. This route is approximately 6.5–7 miles with ~900–1,000 feet of elevation gain, spread out enough to keep it approachable
