This will be a fairly long hike and there will be snow patches on the trail.  Once we pass tree line blustery conditions are common, be prepared.  We will make a group assessment once we reach the top of the pass and either continue on to Hallett Pk or return depending on how everyone is feeling and trail conditions.

We will meet at JJ's gas station in Fort Collins; this is at the intersection of Harmony and Taft Hill.  Please plan to be at the meeting point at 6:15 am and we will depart no later than 6:30 am.  If we have members joining the trip from south of FTC, we will make a second stop at the Jax parking lot (Hwy 34 & Eisenhower) in Loveland to pick them up (at approximately 6:45 am) and continue on to RMNP.  We will need to coordinate carpooling and ride share once the group size is known.

There will be an e-mail sent out to participants one or two days prior to the trip to point out any other details.

Plan to have the 10-essentials in your pack.  A little extra food and water is recommended, the trail is long and we might be in soft snow for some sections.  I advise that everyone has micro-spikes and gaiters in their pack.  If you bring trekking poles snow baskets are advisable.
