Hiking – Hessie TH to Arestua Hut
An out and back day hike with a moderate B hike rating, 8 miles round trip, 2000' gain to the Boulder CMC Årestua hut on Guinn mountain. I anticipate to start from Hessie trailhead, following the all seasons route to Lost lake then the gas pipeline. I hope to take a lunch break near the destination.

I anticipate to start from Hessie trailhead, following the all seasons route to Lost lake then the gas pipeline. I hope to take a lunch break near the destination..
Plan to meet up in the morning near Boulder to drive to Eldora township and hike on established then improvised trails. We will use snowshoes if warranted and return to the Denver area in the evening.
The backup plan (if there is bad weather) would be to hike on Sunday instead of Saturday.
Near Boulder, at 7 am, inquire with registration.
Required Equipment
Required Equipment: Don’t forget gear including snow shoes, some snacks and food, water, and extra layers.
Helpful but optional gear includes: gaiters, and trekking poles.
