Hiking – Jasper Lake Trail
Join for an early morning trek to Jasper Lake (via the Devils Thumb Trail) in beautiful Indian Peaks Wilderness. Our route will cover 9.8 miles with 1942 in elevation gain.

Reports in the past few days indicate the trail is wet in places, but clear of snow. We will take short breaks along the way, with a longer one at the lake. Should be fun!
I will provide more details (directions, trailhead, weather, etc.) in my email to hikers.
For those coming from Boulder, we will meet at the REI parking lot at 5:45 a.m. for a prompt departure. I have room for 3-4 people in my car.
Our next stop is Nederland High School where we plan to take the free shuttle to the Hessie trailhead (around 7a.m.).
If you are coming from the Denver area and want to carpool, reach out to me, and I will connect interested parties. (I recommend carpooling from Plainview Rd. Parking off highway 72, west of highway 93.)
Required Equipment
Ten Essentials. Waterproof boots, if you are concerned about water on the trail. I always recommend poles, if you have them.
