Leader’s notes : Vaccinated members only please. This is an LIT hike for Mary Ann Panarelli. The trail, while easy overall, has a couple steep, rocky sections, so poles may be useful. Please bring your 10 essentials, including sunscreen as we will be in and out of the sun. It is possible that we may see some early color change in the aspens.
If you want to see the trail in AllTrails, we will be doing the beginning
portion of the Kenosha Pass to Lost Creek Wilderness Trail.
Meeting place and time
Meeting Time: 7:50 with an 8:00 departure time.
Carpool Meeting Place: Meet in the lower gravel parking lot at the Fort Restaurant (19192 Highway 8, Morrison).
We will make a short comfort stop at Loaf n Jug at 285 and CR 43, just before Bailey.
Mileage to Kenosha Pass from the Fort is 90 miles RT, or about $27 per vehicle to be divided between driver and passengers.
If you plan to meet us at the trailhead, travel west on 285 to the summit at Kenosha Pass. Turn left on Forest Service Road 126 through the gate, and continue a short distance to parking immediately before the campground.
There is a vault toilet at the trailhead that is often out of toilet paper, so bring tissues.
