Hiking – Lake Ann

This is the third of 4 hikes near Leadville during July 20-23, and the leaders have reserved the Printer Boy group camping site for those who wish to car camp for any of the 4 hikes Each person is responsible for their equipment and meals. Additional details will be provided to registered hikers.

The hikes are:

Missouri Lakes and Fancy Pass Loop - A great hike past beautiful lakes, with two high altitude passes.  Challenging (multiple high altitude passes), 8.7 miles, 2800' elevation gain, maximum elevation 12,400'.  Monday July 20.

Mt Sherman (West Slopes)  - A different approach to Mt Sherman from the west.  Challenging (rate of elevation gain and final altitude) 4.5 miles, 2150' elevation, maximum elevation 14,043. Tuesday July 21.

Lake Ann from Winfield (2 WD trailhead)  - A beautiful lake nestled below 13ers, including the 3 Apostles, with good views of Huron Peak as well. Challenging (mileage), 11 miles, 1600' elevation gain, maximum elevation 11,800'.  Wednesday July 22.

Mt Evans (B) in the Mosquito Range  A chance to hike the Mosquito Pass area from the West.  Challenging (mileage and elevation), 9.6 miles, 2576' elevation gain, maximum elevation 13,591.  Thursday July 23.
