Hiking – Mayhem Gulch

Please join me for this last-minute hike characterized by a smooth trail with moderate grades.  

The Mayhem Gulch Trailhead is 14.1 miles up Clear Creek Canyon (Highway 6) from the new CMC Building.  The drive would normally take 25 minutes but may take longer because of road construction.  There are good vault toilets at the trailhead.

The weather forecast is mostly sunny with a high temperature near 62 degrees and wind 6 to 13 mph gusting as high as 21 mph.

Please bring rain gear, trekking poles, plenty of water and the ten essentials.  Also bring a snack for a brief lunch stop at the top of the lollypop.

We will carpool from the CMC Basecamp at 15605 W 32^nd Avenue, Golden.  Please park on the east side of the building where there are two portable toilets.  Please arrive by 7:15 am for an 7:30 am departure.  The amount to be split among the passengers of each car driving to the trailhead is $10.
