Hiking – Mount Flora

This is a flower hike to Mt Flora only. We will be looking for tiny alpine flowers. We will hike at a slow pace, identifying flowers as we go. It could take us 4+ hr to get to the summit. Expect to be hiking 6 hr or longer.

You are welcome to bring a alpine flower ID book. We will stop often to ID minute flowers. If anyone appears to have difficulty with elevation we could go up Colorado mines peak, maybe 3 miles round trip. Bring wind gear, lunch, other 10 essentials. Plan to be out all day. we will be hiking at a slow pace, see above. 

7am, at Woolly Mammoth P/R , departing promptly at 7:15 am. We will drive directly to Berthoud Pass, there is a bathroom at the parking lot.

Bring wind gear, clothing to be warm enough at 13,000 ft.
