Hiking – Mount Machebeuf

Mount Mauchebeuf ( 12,771 ft) via Watrous Gulch. Ascending at a slower pace we will travel on the Watrous Gulch trail and then go off-trail up the slope to the saddle below Machebeuf. We will descend to the Jones Pass trail and then return on the Herman Gulch trail. This is 8.5 mile loop with 2,730 elev. gain. and a steep descent to the Jones pass trail. Participants should be acclimated to altitudes above 12,000 ft. . If you are a fast hiker ascending please be prepared to either slow your pace down or wait for slower hikers.
