The goal would be to summit Mount Harvard, hikers must be able to to keep a moderate pace (2.5mph on the less steeper slopes - obviously much slower for the final ascent. There is a scramble to for the final stretch to the summit. This hike is not for beginners. 

Leader will bring her dog, MUST get permission from leader if you plan to bring your dog. This is a very hard hike for a dog, and pre-screening is essential for your and your dog’s safety. If you show up with your dog without permission, you will not be able to join the group.

Meet at 5:45am for a 6:00am start.

The trailhead for this route is the North Cottonwood Creek trailhead, located outside of Buena Vista, Colorado. The trailhead is located at the end of Road 365. There is parking at the trailhead
