Hiking – Off Trail West Falls, Sheep Mountain, Bridal Veil Falls

The group will start at the Cow Creek Trailhead in Rocky Mountain National Park and hike north uphill on trail to West Falls. From the falls we will backtrack a bit to find a good off trail route uphill to the south-west. The group will follow this track to Sheep Mountain (peak 9794). From the summit we will proceed west until we get to a steep down slope which intersects with the Cow Creek Trail. We will then proceed on-trail up to Bridal Veil Falls. From the falls we will backtrack and follow the Cow Creek  Trail back to the trailhead (looking for Rabbit Ears rock up above the trail to the south). 

The meeting time and place will be emailed to participants a couple of day before the trip. Note due to the off trail portion of this trip it will be more difficult (energy level and moving up/down steep slopes off trail) than the elevation gain and distance indicate.
