Hiking – Pennsylvania Mountain
This is a fairly short, moderate difficulty hike (5.5 miles) to the summit of Pennsylvania Mountain (13,033' and 1500' elevation gain). We'll keep a relatively easy pace (1 1/2 to 2 mph with breaks as needed).

We'll plan on lunch on the trail and stop for water and snack breaks as needed.
In the event that the hike is full, preference will be given to El Pueblo and PIkes Peak members.
Pueblo participants will meet at 6:00am at the Northwest corner of the Pueblo West Walmart parking lot (just south of the new gas station under construction). Colorado Springs participants can meet at the dirt lot just east of the gas station in Hartsel ( 39.02143 N, -105.79674 W) at about 7:30. Alternatively, meet at the Pennsylvania Mountain Trailhead at 8:15.
The trailhead address is Mountain View Dr, Fairplay, CO 80440 (39.249304 °N, -106.105484°W). It is included in Google Maps as Pennsylvania Mountain Trailhead.
The hike begins and ends at the trailhead.
Required Equipment
In addition to the other 10 essentials, please bring at least 2 liters of water, lunch, snacks, and rain gear. As always be prepared for rapidly changing weather conditions including sudden storms.
