Red Peak is a large mountain in the Gore Range that dominates the view to the north from Eccles Pass.  This hike is long and has a lot of elevation gain.  There is a Class 1 trail up to Red Buffalo Pass.  From there, it is Class 2 on a tundra and talus ridgeline to the summit.  The reward is great views of the rugged Gore Range.A hike
