Hiking – RMNP - Bear Lake TH - Lake Helene

This hike will begin at Bear Lake and end at the Fern Lake trailhead. Will will hike past Lake Helene, Odessa Lake and Fern Lake. The hike will be one way so will require a car shuttle.

This trip is a hike beginning at the Bear Lake TH. We will hike on trail to Lake Helene, then continue on trail to Lake Odessa and Fern Lake via Odessa Gorge. The hike will end at the Fern Lake TH. We will stop somewhere along the way for a lunch break. This will be a one way hike requiring a shuttle.

Also, this trip is being listed as a Northern Colorado Group trip. So members of the NOCO Group will be given priority until October 27. Send me an email and I will put you on the active roster prior to October 27. The trip will open to any CMC member on October 27.

We will meet in the Target parking lot, College & Troutman in Fort Collins. We will try to arrange carpooling for folks coming from Denver/Boulder area. Meet up time will be determined later, but figure on something around 7:00-7:30am.

I don't think snowshoes will be required, but would recommend microspikes. It can be windy, so would also recommend wind gear; shell, face covering (buff or mask), and eye protection (sunglasses or goggles). Also, don't forget your 10 Essentials.
