Hiking – RMNP - Glacier Gorge TH

Fall Colors Hike beginning at Longs Peak TH. We will climb to Chasm Junction taking the North Longs Peak Trail then over Granite Pass with lovely views of Glacier Gorge then descend the Boulder Brook Trail to Glacier Creek Trail then Glacier Basin/East Portal Trail exiting at the East Portal TH near the YMCA. This hike involves a car shuttle. Hopefully we will have excellent weather, elk bugling, and a glorious display of the changing season.

Denver area participants will meet at CMC parking in Golden at  5:55 am for a 6:00 am departure.  Drivers needed.

Northern area participants may meet in Lyons Park n RIde on Railroad Ave at TBD

All participants should meet at the Longs Peak Trailhead at 7:30 am.  There are restrooms available.

I will need a few northern area volunteers to meet me in Lyons so that we can drop off 2-3  cars at East Portal TH and then take one car to drive us back to Longs Peak TH to meet with the entire group.  

Possible social stop at Main Stage Brewery in Lyons on the way home.
