Hiking – RMNP - Ouzel Falls - Calypso Cascades

We will enjoy this refreshing forest hike along the North Saint Vrain Creek where we will pass Copeland Falls and Calypso Cascades to beautiful Ouzel Falls.  There may be opportunities to see wildflowers and wildlife along this popular 6 mile out-and-back trail with a 1000' gain.  We will enjoy our lunch as we listen to this amazing waterfall before returning back to the trailhead.  Please bring your essentials, water, lunch, raingear, and sturdy boots.

There are 3 meeting locations, depending upon where you come from:  1) JJ's Country Store (NE edge), 4015 S. Taft Hill Rd, Ft. Collins at 6:15 a.m., 2) JAX parking lot (SE edge), 2665 W. Eisenhower Blvd., Loveland at 6:30 a.m. to carpool to the Estes Park Visitor Center, OR 3) Estes Park Visitor Center, 500 Big Thompson Ave. (far NE end of parking lot) at 7:20 a.m. (Restrooms available).  From here, we will carpool 17 miles south to the Wild Basin area trailhead (limited parking).   PLEASE email, call or text Anita Wright with which meeting location you will be at (970-222-5920 or adwright2001@yahoo.com).
