Rosedale Peak (11,825 ft) is a rewarding "11er" in the Mount Blue Sky Wilderness (formerly Mount Evans) west of Denver, offering a strenuous but scenic conditioning hike via the Meridian Trailhead (starting at ~9,040 ft). The ~9.8–10.3 mile out-and-back route gains around 2,900 ft of elevation over 6–7 hours, beginning with a steady forested climb through pine and aspen groves along Elk Creek drainage, passing a saddle at mile 3.25 (~10,720 ft), then intersecting the Cub Creek Trail before reaching a higher saddle at mile 4.75 (~11,410 ft).
The final ~0.5 mile pushes off-trail above treeline over grassy ridges and talus to the twin summits, where hikers are rewarded with panoramic views of Rosalie Peak, Mount Blue Sky (Evans), Mount Bierstadt, Mount Spaulding, and surrounding Front Range peaks
