Hiking – Hike - Wind River Loop from the East Portal via Sprague Lake and Glacier Creek.

Beginning at the East Portal to RMNP, this pretty fall 5.5 mile, 1,100' gain loop hike follows the Wind River trail in RMNP through golden aspens to beautiful Sprague Lake, where we will enjoy lunch.  We may be able to spot moose or elk on this great fall loop trail.  Then, we will return to the TH along the Glacier Creek trail. 

There are two meeting locations, depending upon where you are coming from:  1) JAX parking lot (SE edge) at 2665 W. Eisenhower Blvd., Loveland at 7:30 a.m. to carpool, OR 2) RMNP Beaver Meadows Visitor Center (west end of lot) at 1000 U.S. Hwy 36 at 8:30 a.m.  PLEASE text, email, or call me (970-631-7115 or schmiedtc@gmailocom) to let me know which meeting location you will be at (unless you have already done so).
