Hiking – South Valley Park

This is an Octogenarian (Octo) Hike for those who have aged out of normal CMC hikes, or anyone who finds CMC's traditional Easy hikes more than they want or can do. Octo Hikes are slower paced, have shorter distances, less elevation gain, and more frequent stops than typical Easy A hikes. This will be an easy and short out and back hike with beautiful views of red rocks and South Valley with restrooms at start and turnaround points. If you wish, bring a snack and we can eat at picnic tables at North Trailhead after the hike. You can leave your snack in your car.

  • Easy
  • Mileage: 4.8 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 600 ft
  • Pace: 1.5 mph
