Hiking – Staunton State Park - Staunton Ranch Trail to Scoutline Trail
We will hike from Lazy V park lot, take the Staunton ranch trail 2/10 mi, then turn onto Scout Line Trail for 3.1 miles, then continue on Marmot Passage for 2.5 mi the loop back over Bugling Elk Trail & Staunton ranch trail for total of 8.2 mi. RAIN DATE MON 11/13/2023

Microspikes may be helpful if there has been rain, ice or snow recently. Plan on being out 7 hrs, until approximately 4pm. Bring headlight for in case it takes longer than expected. We will hike approximately 1.5 mph, uphill parts may be slightly slower. Scout Line trail is one of the "rockiest" in the park.
Meet at 7:45am at park lot in front of the The Fort Restaurant. Park on 1st park lot on the street, do not go down into Restaurant park lot. We will leave promptly at 8am.
