Hiking – Tenmile Range
Mt Royal trail in Frisco. We will carpool to exit 201 in Frisco and hike to the old mining ruins of Mason town from the Mt Royal TH .

Starting at 9600 feet , we will walk .5 miles on the bike path to start of the trail that takes us to the ruins of the Mason Town mining site, We will ascend through a forest of pine trees with intermittent shade to reach the summit with gorgeous views of the Tenmile range and the Gore range . The trail is steep , hiking poles are strongly recommended , Some loose gravel on the descent .

Take I-70 west to the second Frisco exit, Exit #201
, turn left (east) towards the town of Frisco. After crossing the I-70 interchange, take an immediate right into the public parking lot. Walk over the footbridge, turn left onto the paved bike path. Hike 0.5 miles on the bike path to the Mt. Royal trail sign which will be on the right.

Bring all 10 essentials , plenty of water and lunch, rain gear.
