Hiking – Tie Hack Loop
This Women fo the Colorado Gold Rush Era Hike features "Aunt Clara Brown" who was born a slave, separated from her family when sold, was freed by owners and traveled to Colorado Terriotory in 1859 by wagon train. With twists and turns throughout her life she was recognized upon her death in 1885 by Colorado's Governor, Denver's Mayor and many prominent dignitaries at her funeral. She was lauded in her obituary as "A Woman in Thousands" by The Rocky Mountain News. Come hear her story as we hike.

This is a loop hike and can be done in either direction. The trail has a mix of shaded forest areas and open meadow areas.
Colorado's archery and mussle loading hunting season are in effect on this date.
Plan to wear hunter orange as a hat, a vest or have a bandana on your pack.

Note - the TH is outside Fairplay which is approximately an hour and 45 minute drive
