Mount Toll is the stunning rock pyramid forming part of the beautiful backdrop of Brainard Lake Recreation Area west of Boulder. From the Mitchell Lake trailhead we hike on trail to Blue Lake. At end of trail, we hike around the lake and work our way up the rock bands below Mount Toll's east face into the basin on the southeast side of the peak, then climb to the Toll-Pawnee saddle. To finish we ascend Mt Toll's south ridge to the summit. The final mile to the summit climbs 1500 feet, which is certainly steep but not a scramble. We return the way we came.
This trip is open to all CMC members, as well as guests who have signed the guest waiver.
Carpooling: meet at the CoorsTEK parking lot in Golden before 7 AM.
