Note this trip is 5 hours from Denver.
Leave Montrose Autozone at 8am.
If coming from GJ, arrange meeting time/place with Victor (303) 332-2252 and proceed to trailhead at Shirttail point, Lands End Rd where both groups will meet at 9:30. Current CMC COVID policies in place.
This is the middle "plunge" section of the Palisade Plunge. Drop off the edge of the mesa through aspen forests to the trail that John Otto blasted into the side of the Mesa, formerly known as the Wild Rose trail. Great views and hopefully fall colors. Trail descends 600 ft in less than a mile (so yes we'll have to hike back up it on the return to our cars) then is fairly mellow.
Required Equipment
