  • Hiking
  • Difficult
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 5.3 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 2,267 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 13,212 ft
  • Pace: 1.5 mph TO 2

The first ascent causes each hiker to find their pace. We'll keep each other in eye sight on the ridgelines and meet at summit (wait for grouping up) before heading to Cupid.

This is a great lung conditioner that will make you feeling strong for other high summits.  The first 0.8 mile to the ridge is steep, and the rest of the hike is north along the high ridgeline over some subpeaks to Mt Sniktau, then back and further south to Mt Cupid.  The trail will be snow packed, depending on the sun melt & freeze it may be icy so bring your micro spikes.  This trips gift is the 360-degree views of snow-covered peaks.

Mileage allowance per car is 94 miles x .30 = $28. This will be divided by the number of people in each car.

There will be an optional celebratory stop after the hike for those who are interested.

Wooly Mammoth - Section BB, across from the Exxon gas station, at 5:55 am, so we can form carpools and leave no later than 6:00 am.  Here’s a Google Maps link to the “Wooly Mammoth Park-N-Ride”: https://maps.app.goo.gl/ureNbXygtrukNp8fA
