Intermediate Snowshoe – Brainard Lake Rec Area - Mitchell Lake Trailhead
From the Brainard Lake Recreation Area winter parking are we will snowshoe to and around Brainard Lake. If we have a bit more energy and the conditions allow, we'll continue on to Long Lake. Will take in the views and enjoy being outdoors.

From the winter parking area, we'll hike along the Waldrop Trail to the Brainard Lake Cut-off Trail to Brainard Lake. If the group agrees and conditions allow, we can visit Long Lake, using the Niwot Cutoff Trail and return along the Pawnee Trail, with the option of checking out the CMC Brainard Hut (This will add about 2 miles and 200 ft elevation gain to the hike) We'll make our way back to Brainard Lake and return to the parking lot along the Snowshow Trail #814.3.
Meet at Coors Tek Parking lot at 7am, for no later than 7:15am departure

Ten Essentials, Snowshoes, Microspikes. Consider bringing gaiters, goggles, and trekking poles.
