We'll snowshoe up popular Butler Gulch on a forested trail from the Henderson mine up to the disused Jean Mine. You may have scampered up this trail for a summer hike but you'll find the elevation gain a bit more difficult in snowshoes. The difficulty will depend upon whether the snow is well packed down or if there was fresh snow overnight. Leaders may decide to turn around earlier depending upon wind and avy conditions.

Bring snowshoes, spikes, gaiters, and poles. I’ll advise on snow conditions nearer the time.
