For RMOTHG members. We will carpool to the Deer Creek TH in Bailey then snowshoe up the Tanglewood Trail, have lunch, and return the way we came.

This is a steady climb up a lovely trail that leads eventually to many peaks and trail connections within the Blue Sky Wilderness (formerly Mt Evans Wilderness).  We'll go out about 2.5 miles and climb about 1,200.'  If the group feels good and  wants to go farther, we can do that.

We should have plenty of snow for snowshoes but we'll bring microspikes just in case spikes are sufficient.  We'll let you know conditions a few days before the trip.

We will meet at the north side of the dirt parking area in front of The Fort Restaurant, 19192 CO-8, Morrison, CO 80465. Arrive 8:15 am for an 8:30 drive-away.  We'll carpool down US-285, making a comfort stop at the Loaf N Jug, 173 Bulldogger Rd, Bailey, CO 80421, and then proceed to the nearby Deer Creek TH.  The last part of the drive is on dirt/unplowed road, so if you have an AWD or high clearance vehicle, please plan to be a carpool driver.  The carpool cost per is $20 per car, to be split among all the occupants, including the driver.
