We will park our cars on Geneva/Guanella Pass Rd and walk approximately 1 mile on Bruno Gulch Road, past several camp sites, to the official trailhead. The trail gradually ascends through the forest as it parallels a creek. It passes by some beaver ponds, through some aspen groves, and ultimately ends in a meadow where it intersects with South Park Trail #600. This clearing will make a nice place for lunch/snack. Then, we’ll turn around and go back the way we came.
Here is a Caltopo map for our route.
Be prepared for wind especially at the start.
Carpool Place & Time: Meet at the Twin Forks Park-n-Ride, 6164 US Hwy 285, Morrison, CO 80465 at 7:45 am for an 8:00 am departure (Twin Forks Park-n-Ride).
We’ll then carpool to the intersection of Geneva/Guanella Pass Rd and Bruno Gulch Rd (Intersection of Geneva/Guanella Pass Rd and Bruno Gulch Road).
