We expect the total trip to be about 2-3 hours, skiing up to the first hairpin turn on the railroad grade, returning to the trailhead around noon.
Here is a link to Silver Plume for weather from NOAA. It's too early to get a good prediction, so keep checking back as the ski gets closer. As of 12/27, the prediction is as slight chance of snow, mostly sunny with a high near 30 and breezy. The low Wed night is 9.

Meet at the Wooly Mammoth Park & Ride section FF at 8:10 for a no later than 8:20 departure. This is imperative in order to drive through the blasting area on Floyd HIll before it closes. Round trip mileage is 70 miles. Carpools will split a $25 cost.
We will stop at the Georgetown Visitor's Center on the way up for a comfort stop. (9am opening)
Trailhead is at Silver Plume Exit: Argentine Railroad Grade trailhead. From the exit, drive south on Woodward St, then west on Mountain St to the end at the trailhead. Do not block the road or driveways.
The railroad grade has a 6% grade, some of it is a single track. We will work our way up and glade back to the trailhead.
