- Exit 259 toward Jefferson Cnty 93/Morrison. Right at end of the ramp. Left at the next light onto Rte 40. Park and Ride is approx ½ mile on the left.

- Get on I-70 W. Take exit 195 for CO-91 S toward Copper Mountain/Leadville. Continue onto CO-91 S. Trailhead will be about six miles down on the left, across from the Mayflower Tailings Pond.

- Be prepared for full winter conditions. Even if the temp is forecast to be moderate, wind can make it feel like deep winter.
- Winter Clothing: Winter gloves, winter pants, winter/waterproof jacket, balaclava, goggles or glacier glasses, gaiters, etc.
- Technical Gear Required: Snowshoes, mountaineering/winter boots, crampons and/or spikes, ice axe with locking carabiner (not a wrist leash), helmet, climbing harness.
- Winter 10 Essentials and day pack
Please bring a change of shoes and plastic bag for your boots so you don’t muddy your driver’s car.
