Mountaineering – Pikes Peak - Rocky Mountain Peak

Trailblazers overnight trip to climb Y-couloir on pikes peak followed by a descent via the Barr trail.

The plan will be to have an afternoon/evening hike with plans to make camp around the Barr Camp hut Sunday afternoon.  Monday morning, in a alpine start, we'll traverse to the bottomless pit where we'll then begin our ascent of the Y couloir.  Upon making the summit we'll descend via the Barr trail, pick up our overnight gear at Barr Camp and proceed back down to the trailhead.  

We'll meet Sunday afternoon in south Denver and carpool to manitou springs/barr trail TH.  Time and location will be coordinated closer to the trip.
