Eagle's Nest Open Space is located along the North Fork of the Cache La Poudre River.  This hike is a 5.2 figure 8 loop with 825 feet elevation gain.  This open space has breathtaking views of the Laramie Foothills as well as mountain mahogany foothills interspersed with rabbitbrush and ponderosa pine that provide diverse habitat for wildlife.  The local landmark Eagle's Nest Rock has been home to nesting golden eagles for over a hundred years!  So an eagle sighting may be possible. We will have a lunch/snack break by the river.  Our pace will be comfortable for all participants.

The meeting time and place details will be sent to all participants a week before the hike.
