Nordic Skiing – Breckenridge Nordic Center
Nordic ski loop at the peak 7 entry point (NOT the main Breck Nordic center). We will ski up the new "Friend's" trail that bypasses the steeper "Otter Slide" entrance. And then do the "Heaven's Gate" loop on groomed blue Nordic routes.

You will need a Breck nordic season pass or purchase a day pass at the main Breck Nordic center prior to meeting at the trailhead.
Here is some extra info on the new "Friend's Trail" bypass of Otter slide:
The new Friend's Trail creates a beautiful, nordic-grade friendly bypass of Otter slide from the Green Gate on Peak 7. This trail was a labor of love this fall and has been in process since summer of 2024. Local volunteers and peak 7 residents worked with Matthew Friend Dayton this fall to cut stumps, throw rocks and prepare this trail for eventual snow! Thank you to our amazing Friends! We are honored to have you by our side! Despite low snowfall this season, the Friend's Trail brings us to 14.3 kilometers of groomed and skiable terrain.
Meet at the Peak 7 (green gate) trailhead at 9am. You will need a Breck nordic season pass or purchase a day pass at the main Breck Nordic center prior to meeting at the trailhead.
Required Equipment
Please bring either classic nordic, backcountry nordic skis, or AT skis with fish scales. Skate skis will likely be faster than the rest of the group. Please have a valid Nordic pass already (from the main Breck Nordic center) before getting to the trailhead.
I will have to pick up a day pass for myself so I can potentially pick up passes for others that need them too.
