Nordic Skiing – Old Monarch Pass
This will be a fairly easy, (4 miles round trip, 300’ elevation, gain) snowshoe/cross country ski trip up on Old Monarch Pass. If the snow cooperates, we can ski the bowls at the top of the pass.

We'll stop for a snack and bathroom break at the Loaf and Jug in Salida on the way up and also stop for a late lunch on the way back.
Pueblo participants will meet for an 8:00 am departure at the intersection of South McCulloch Blvd West and Highway 50 in Pueblo West (38°20'31.6"N 104°46'10.6"W). Alternatively meet at Love's Travel Stop, 690 Doc Holiday Dr, Cañon City at 8:30.

Required Equipment
Bring a hat, gloves, sunglasses, sunscreen, multiple layers, boots, gaiters, skis or snowshoes, poles, water, a snack, and a backpack to put all this stuff in.
