RMOTHG Trip – Castlewood Canyon State Park

We will hike the East Canyon Preservation Trail. This is a lollipop hike that starts out in the canyon then travels under Hwy 83 to open prairie finishing back in the canyon. It follows Cherry Creek and supports a diverse population of birds and mammals.

We will meet at 8:30am in the Cabelas parking lot at Ridgegate and I-25 in Lone Tree, specifically in the northwest section of the parking lot close to Cabela's, for a prompt  departure.  DO NOT PARK in the parking lot close to the Sierra Restaurant or the hotel!
