RMOTHG Trip – Gibson Lake

Located just East of Kenosha Pass this 7.5 mile hike gains 2162 feet of elevation as it takes us to a beautiful alpine lake – dominated by Whale Peak towering over it. Described as a moderately challenging route, the trail climbs through steep rocky sections and includes several stream crossings. At the south end of the lake there is a long, ribbon-like waterfall that awaits. Perfect spot for a picnic. Estimated hiking time: 5 hours.
