RMOTHG Trip – Green Mountain - Rooney Valley Trail

This will be a casual early morning walk up to the summit. If the group is in agreement, we'll then continue to the large radio tower on the eastern slope. From the radio tower we'll then head back the way we came. 

If we go to the radio tower it comes out to 4.6 miles, roundtrip, with 990 feet of overall elevation gain.

If we head back down directly from the summit, it'll be 3.2 miles, roundtrip, with 765 feet of overall elevation gain.

If the group is interested, we can head into Lakewood for Starbucks after the hike. There's one located at 12408 West Alameda Parkway.

Let's meet at 6 am at the Rooney Road Trailhead for Green Mountain (William F. Hayden Green Mountain Park, Lakewood) 

We'll start out from the parking area trailhead, going up Green Mountain Trail and then connecting with the Rooney Valley Trail to the summit and then, if the group is interested, going further east to the radio tower and then back again.
