We'll start at the Indian Creek Trailhead and take the Indian Creek Trail, which is a four-wheel-drive road, until we reach Ringtail Trail #699. The hike mostly follows Ringtail Trail, which is primarily downhill. Once at Nelson Ranch Open Space, we take Swallowtail Trail to Roxborough State Park, then use Iron Bark Drive, Carpenter Peak Trail, and Willow Creek Trail to reach the Roxborough Visitor Center parking lot.
This one-way hike has 840 ft of elevation gain and 2280 ft of loss; a car shuttle is needed. The route follows established trails.
Here is a link to this trip in AllTrails. Please note that the distance listed on AllTrails is incorrect. We will be completing the route in reverse, which means the elevation gain will be much less than the elevation loss.
We will meet at the Roxborough State Park visitor center parking lot at 7:30am for an 7:40am departure. Google Maps Link: https://maps.app.goo.gl/RMzQxeBthYzrgejh7
Our hike will start at the parking lot on the north side of Highway 67 just west of the Rampart Range Road junction: https://maps.app.goo.gl/jwRWkA8wVo2Ru1tf6 . There is very limited parking at the trailhead, so it is very important that we carpool!
