RMOTHG Trip – IPW - Fourth of July Trailhead - Lake Dorothy

This is a reschedule of the 7/22 RMOTHG hike from 4th of July trailhead to Dorothy Lake in the Indian Peaks Wilderness.

This will be a RMOTHG hike from the 4th of July trailhead near Eldora to Lake Dorothy, the highest lake in the Indian Peaks Wilderness. Speed will be commensurate with the group, but the target will be approx 2.0 mph moving average speed.
Parking at the trailhead fills up fast so we will carpool to trailhead and need to get an early start.
The road to the trailhead is rough so a high clearance SUV or 4WD vehicle is recommended for carpool drivers.

We will meet at the Plainview Rd Parking Area off Hwy 72 (Coal Creek Canyon Rd) by 6:15am for a departure by 6:30am.  The Google maps link to the parking area is:

Bring good shoes, have good sun protection (a brimmed hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen, 2-3 liters of water, and hiking poles (if you use them) as well as the 10 essentials.
