We will hike from the Brainard Lake Gateway TH (Winter Lot) to visit Red Rock Lake, there is a teeny tiny bit of off trail at the lake, before heading up on the 4WD Road towards Left Hand Reservoir.  About 1/2 mile before Left Hand Reservoir, we will turn off the road and head up on a trail, through trees until around treeline where we will continue the hike off-trail up the flank of Niwot Mountain.  It is all tundra and the views just explode from here on out!!!  We will take our time on the off-trail steep part.  (the last 1.15 miles we will gain +920').  After a nice long break to enjoy the view we will backtrack but instead of going back on the 4WD road, we will hike on the Little Raven and Sourdough Trails back to the TH.  If you would like a GPX track, just email me and I'll send it to you.

Trekking Poles (highly recommended), 2 liters of Water, Snacks, Lunch, Rain Gear, Warm Layer, Wind Proof Layers, Bug Spray, The Rest of the 10 Essentials.
