RMOTHG Trip – Loveland Pass- West Ridge Trail
This little hike has gorgeous views!!! It starts at the top of Loveland Pass. If you've ever wanted to hike Sniktau but didn't, this hike is for you. It has mostly the same views as Sniktau but it's wayyyyyy easier!!! We will be on trail and a small amount of off trail on tundra. Make sure you read those Leader's Notes, lots of important info!!!

I do consider this a moderate hike for our population because of the high altitude and steepness in different parts of the trail. The very first part is quite steep, we will take our time going up and down. We will hike up a small section on a hiker made trail on our way back to another little summit that has a pretty view down into Pass Lakes. If there is no parking at the pass itself, we will have to park cars down the road 1/4 mile and add another +95' elevation gain, it's really not bad and I don't mind dropping my hikers off at the top and then meeting them there.
If we have time, (thunderstorms are predicted to come in starting at noon), I would like to drive over to the Pass Lakes parking lot and walk a little ways in and find a little picnic spot for us, the views towards A Basin are just so pretty there as well. Below is a photo:
