Rock Climb – Clear Creek Canyon

We will have lead and top rope options ranging from 5.6 to 5.9. We will climb until dusk or until everyone is satisfied with the climbing. The approach is about 10 minutes, mostly on-trail. Wear approach or hiking shoes for the way in.

Climbing Qualifications or Prerequisites:
Must be a graduate of CMC’s Basic Rock Climbing course to top rope and the Sport Lead Climbing class to lead.

Equivalent lead climbing experience may be substituted with trip leader approval. Please contact the trip leader and describe your lead climbing experience.

Must be a confident top rope belayer. Ability to lead belay welcomed.

Meeting Location: North side of U.S. 6 at 3:45 pm. We will carpool to the crag from there. It's only a couple minutes from the meeting spot, but the crag parking lot is very small. Pay attention to no parking zones as Jeffco has increased enforcement.
