Starting at the Chautaqua trailhead, follow standard trails up to the Royal Arch. Once there, you have the option of enjoying sunrise or going for a quick, maybe 100' 4th class scramble up to the top of the arch, followed by a down-scramble. If you want to scramble, you must be comfortable with exposure and know how to down-scramble.
