We will follow the keyhole route.
This is a long and challenging hike, requiring both strong endurance and Class 3 scrambling experience. This should be neither your first 14er of the season nor your first Class 3 scramble.
When requesting leader’s permission, please describe 1) your fitness level, 2) your recent high altitude hiking experience, including moving speed and 3) your previous Class 3 scrambles.
You may request permission before the registration opening time. I will fill slots in the order that requests are received.
The hike is weather dependent and will be cancelled if there is significant snow or ice on the scrambling sections.
Meeting place and time will depend on where participants are coming from. We may carpool or we may meet at trailhead. We will start hiking by 5a (perhaps earlier depending on weather forecast).
