Scramble – Tour de Abyss

Hike moved to Sat Jun 27th due to race on the 28th.

Let's celebrate the re-opening of Mt Blue Sky road by doing this fantastic scramble. Starting at the first hairpin turn of the road, go off trail down to the Abyss Lake basin, then start scrambling up the south east ridge of Mt Bierstadt. Follow the ridge to Mt Bierstadt. Then descend down to the Sawtooth, that jagged looking ridge that connects Bierstadt to the Blue Sky-Spaulding ridge. Finally, follow a trail to summit Mt Blue Sky, then descend back to where we parked cars.

This hike incorporates off-trail hiking, route finding and class 3 scrambling.
